Welcome to my kitchen

Hello, I’m Lucy, and I have always found immense joy in baking. To me, it is more than just a skill - it is a beautiful and meaningful way to connect with others, an expression of love, warmth, and care.

Baking has a language of its own. A homemade cake can say the things that sometimes feel hard to put into words - you are in my thoughts, you matter, let’s celebrate you.

Some of my most treasured memories are of family meals and special occasions, where homemade cakes were always at the heart of every gathering. From a very young age, my Grandma and Mum stood patiently beside me in the kitchen, teaching me the art of baking. Those precious moments inspired my love of sharing home baking as a way to bring people together and show affection in a simple, heartfelt way.

Since my teenage years, I have dreamed of owning a cosy tea shop - a warm and welcoming place filled with freshly baked cakes, where family and friends can gather, and people can sit with a cup of tea and a piece of cake, taking a peaceful break from the world outside. In 2024, I took the first step towards that dream and began building my own home-based baking business, balancing it alongside my day job.

Baked by me for you was created with a soft rose-pink colour palette as a tribute to my Grandma, Dorothy Rose. The colours reflect the love, gentleness and generosity she poured into everything she baked - and her example continues to define the way I bake today.

I truly hope my bakes bring you comfort and happiness - all wrapped up in perfect cake form.
