These Terms & Conditions apply to all orders placed through the Baked by me for you website.

By placing an order, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please also refer to the Privacy & Data Protection Policy for information about how your personal data is collected and used.

2. Products

All bakes are made to order and each item is individually handmade, so there may be slight variations in appearance, size, or decoration.

Product photos are for illustrative purposes only.

Ingredients, allergen information and storage guidance are provided on each product page.

3. Ordering

  • Products are only available within the United Kingdom. Due to the nature of the products, I am unable to process orders for delivery or collection outside of the UK

  • Orders can be placed through the website using the options, dates, and times shown at checkout

  • If you are looking for something outside of the options currently available on the website (such as a specific date, time, quantity, or a bespoke request), please contact me first so we can discuss it and confirm availability before placing an order

  • Please ensure all order details (including delivery address and contact information) are correct before completing checkout. I cannot accept responsibility for orders delivered to an incorrect address provided at checkout

  • I reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order if necessary (for example, due to availability or incorrect information)

4. Prices & Payment

  • All prices are shown in GBP (£)

  • Payment is taken securely at checkout using Squarespace Payments

  • I do not store or have access to your full payment card details

5. Collection Orders (available only from Horsforth, Leeds)

  • Collection details (date, time, and address for pick-up) will be confirmed by email after ordering

  • It is your responsibility to collect your order at the agreed time

  • If an order is not collected and no alternative arrangement is made, it may be treated as fulfilled and non-refundable due to the perishable nature of the products

6. Postal Delivery

  • Postal orders are sent by Royal Mail or a courier such as Evri

  • Delivery & timing - Delivery timeframes are estimates and cannot be guaranteed. I am not responsible for delays caused by the postal service or courier. Any delays after your item has been dispatched are outside of my control. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive an email with tracking details so you can follow your parcel’s journey.

  • Handling - Posting cakes is not without risk. However, every bake is carefully prepared and packaged with care and in the best condition possible. Once the parcel has been passed to the postal service or courier, I can no longer be held responsible for how it is treated. If it arrives damaged I am really sorry - that is not how it is meant to be enjoyed so please contact me within 24 hours with photographic evidence of the damage and packaging in order that I can work with you to find a solution

  • Missed deliveries - If a delivery attempt is missed and the parcel is delayed or returned as a result, I cannot guarantee the quality or freshness of the bakes. Unfortunately, refunds or replacements are not possible in these circumstances

7. Cancellations & Refunds

Due to the perishable and bespoke nature of baked goods:

  • Orders cannot be cancelled or refunded once preparation has begun

  • If there is an issue with your order, please contact me as soon as possible so I can try to resolve it

This does not affect your statutory rights.

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, the standard 14-day cooling-off period does not apply to perishable or made-to-order food products.

8. Allergens

Allergens are listed on each product page and further details are available on the Allergen section of my website. Please note that while I do not use nuts in my kitchen, some ingredients may carry manufacturer warnings about nuts. All products are baked in a kitchen where gluten, eggs, dairy, soya and other allergens are handled, so it is not possible to guarantee any product is completely allergen-free. By placing an order, you are confirming that you have read and understood this information.

9. Liability

I take great care in preparing each and every bake; however, I cannot accept responsibility for allergic reactions where allergens have been clearly disclosed.

All products should be consumed within the timeframes provided and stored according to the instructions supplied. I cannot accept responsibility for products stored incorrectly.

My liability is limited to the value of the order.

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

10. Changes to These Terms

These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time. The latest version will always be available on my website.
